A growing corruption scandal is threatening the ruling People’s Party in Spain. Media reports allege that the party’s former treasurers operated a slush fund for donations from construction industry executives. And, just as Spanish Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy is attempting to confront his country’s economic crisis, he is also being drawn into the scandal.
