Toronto’s mayor, Rob Ford, has admitted to smoking crack. And not in his youth either, while actually in office. And he’s challenging the rest of the city to do a damn thing about it. There’s backlash, sure, but the fact remains that the guy is still in office. Canada’s Toronto stock exchange is at its highest point since mid-2011, and waxing positive social mood tends to coat leaders with Teflon.
