Transparency International has released their annual report on corruption, and sadly, five out of ten of the most corrupt countries are Arab nations. Instability breeds corruption, so claim the study’s authors, and instability and civil war has racked the Middle East for… well awhile. The region has some unwelcome company, with North Korea, Iraq, Uzbekistan, Afghanistan and Turkmenistan rounding out the other five most corrupt nations.
