In her April 5 column, titled “Bring Me My Dragons!,” columnist Maureen Dowd of The New York Times complained that Washington is boring compared to HBO’s dark, violent and wildly popular series, Game of Thrones. She wrote, “I’m ready to forgo reality for fantasy. … Who wants to see W.’s portraits of leaders once you’re used to King Joffrey putting leaders’ heads on stakes?”
