Sales at the week-long Frieze Art Fair in London were “brisk,” according to an October 20 Bloomberg article. Among the objects drawing notable bids were Piero Manzoni’s “Achrome,” which sold for 12.6 million English pounds (20.4 million US dollars). Christie’s, Sotheby’s and Phillips sold 231 million pounds (374 million dollars) worth of art last week—almost double the amount they sold at the same auctions last year.
