Hackers believed to be working for the Russian government have breached unclassified White House computer networks. An October 28 Washington Post article says the breaches resulted in temporary disruptions to some services. “Russia is regarded by U.S. Officials as being in the top tier of states with cyber-capabilities,” the Post says. It notes that recent reports by security companies have identified Russian cyber attacks against NATO, the Ukrainian government and US defense contractors.
