US and Cuba on Wednesday announced a “normalizing” of diplomatic relations after a half-century old embargo. CNN reports it’s “the most sweeping change in U.S. policy toward Cuba since 1961.” The deal includes the lifting of some travel and economic restrictions, reopening embassies and a swap of political prisoners.
