In November 2014, The Socionomist predicted the end of three decades of relative complacency regarding the existential threat of nuclear weapons.
Since then, we’ve seen increasingly serious nuke stories, such as the January 13, 2015, Forbes article that said, “Somehow, Americans have arrived at a time in their history when they spend hundreds of billions of dollars shoring up the security of countries on the other side of the world, but have almost no protection against the one danger that could obliterate everything they cherish.”
