putin-memeMany memes are now illegal in Russia, reported Canada News on April 14, 2015. Russia’s “Roskomnadzor, the federal agency overseeing communications in Russia, updated its infamous ‘personal data’ law (which already allows the agency to block websites indifferently).” The update makes it illegal to “falsely picture” a public personality in Russia. As an (ironic) result, we expect to see lots more Putin memes.
