Former US Defense Secretary William J. Perry’s newly published memoir warns that the danger from nuclear bombs looms. In his book, aptly titled, “My Journey at the Nuclear Brink,” he says “Our chief peril is that the poised nuclear doom, much of it hidden beneath the seas and in remote badlands, is too far out of the public consciousness.”

In November 2014, The Socionomist forecast the end of three decades of relative complacency regarding the existential threat of nuclear weapons.
