Japanese biologists just announced that they 1) Converted tissue cells from a mouse into stem cells, then 2) Turned the stem cells into eggs, then 3) Fertilized the eggs, then 4) Implanted the eggs in female mice, which 5) Gave birth to healthy pups.
News reports say this method may someday help human mothers conceive with artificial eggs and produce healthier babies.
