Two health advocacy groups are now suing the soda giant Coca-Cola and the American Beverage Association for engaging “in a pattern of deception to mislead and confuse the public.” The filing alleges that the beverage industry secretly funded biased studies that sought to undermine credible research that revealed the health risks posed by sugary drinks.
