U.S. Attorney General Jeff Sessions’ tough-on-crime agenda is gaining momentum. This week, he announced the revival of a controversial tool for police — civil asset forfeiture. The polarizing practice allows authorities to legally confiscate your cash, home and business if they merely suspect that you’ve committed a crime. Following intense criticism and tales of abuse, former Attorney General Eric Holder restricted this practice in 2015.
