At the Future Investment Initiative, business leaders dreamed up plans for a new metropolis saddled between Saudi Arabia, Jordan and Egypt called Neom–a solar- and wind-powered city with more robots than people. On the other side of the world, Google’s parent company is developing Sidewalk Toronto, a high-tech smart city that may eventually become Google’s Canadian headquarters.
