The 2025 Socionomics
Foundation Scholarship
For the 8th year in a row, the Socionomics Foundation is inviting undergraduate and graduate students at universities worldwide to submit a paper that applies socionomics to a topic of their choice. The Socionomics Foundation will award a $1,000 scholarship to the student who writes what the Foundation determines to be the most outstanding socionomics paper of the year.
Submissions are due to foundation@socionomics.org by November 26, 2025.
The scholarship recipient will be named, and funds dispensed to the student’s university, by the end of 2025.
Paper Guidelines
While there are no formal length or style requirements, the strongest papers typically:
- Are written essay-style in clear, conversational and grammatical English.
- Are concise and engaging.
- State a clear socionomic thesis.
- Support the thesis with prior socionomic research and historical evidence.
- Focus on socionomic causality, not sociological or economic causality.
- Maintain that social mood is endogenously regulated, not exogenously regulated.
- Showcase charts to support the points, and other visuals where appropriate.
- Anticipate and address likely counterarguments.
- Make a forecast.
- Do not advocate for or represent a political position.
We are looking forward to reading your submissions!
