Lunch is Served: One Not-As-Happy Meal, Please

No more super-sizing it seems. As MarketWatch reported on Aug. 23, nearly half of American adults (44%) are ordering from the kids’ menus at restaurants due to the high cost of eating out.

The latest consumer-price-index data show a 3.8% uptick in the category of “food away from home” over the past 12 months. That’s higher than the overall rate of inflation, which stood at 2.7%.
