Mamdani Fever: Look Who’s Got It Now!?

Zohran Mamdani in the Oval Office. What could go wrong?

Well, when U.S. President Donald Trump met with the NYC Democratic Socialist mayor-elect on November 21, everything went unexpectedly… right! (Or… is it left?!). The New York Times on Nov. 21 called the meeting “a surprise ending to the Trump-Mamdani Buddy Movie.”

Jokes, smiles, laughter, and a stream of compliments about Mamdani by the President, such as:

  • “He’s a very rational person.”
  • “We both want this city of ours that we love to do incredibly well.”
  • “He beat a lot of smart people in the race.”
  • “He wants New York to be great again.”
  • “I really would be comfortable living under him, especially after the meeting.”

The “grotesque love fest” “scrambled the MAGA-sphere” writes the New York Times on Nov. 23. But socionomics makes sense of the mounting socialist movement in American politics. Our August 2025 Socionomistpresented part 1 of its discussion on the rise and fall of party leaders since the Socialist Party of America was formed in 1901.

Part 2 of our report resumes in the October 2025 Socionomist, bringing us up to date with Mamdani sweeping the NYC mayoral primary – and ultimately his historic win on Nov. 4.

Today, we’re offering both parts – 8 pages of labeled charts and research bundled in a single, in-depth report for just $30! Now that’s a vote worth casting!
