Government-Sanctioned Domestic Surveillance: Check

Only once in 67 years did Alfred E. Neuman change “What, me worry?” to “Yes, me worry!” — In 1979, following the Three Mile Island accident.

If he were around to read the April 26 NBC News story “AI is making it very easy for the government to spy on you” — he might have changed it for a second time.

The short (scary) story: U.S. lawmakers have until April 30 to reform a long-standing bill that would “supercharge state surveillance” and make it so there’s “virtually nothing the government can’t know about you.”
