Nuclear investment ramps up; nuclear protection, not so much

A UN watchdog just revealed that “the protective shield that covers the Chernobyl nuclear power plant in Ukraine has lost safety function following a drone strike in February” (BBC).

The shield was already 10 years past its estimated lifespan and “It no longer blocks radiation.”
